Another one from the Europe 2006 folder.
An old man at the Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium. The Gate is a huge memorial to the soldiers who fought (and died) in WWI. Every night they play The Last Post, and it is one of the most moving things I've ever witnessed. Tweaked a bit in Microsoft Photo Editor to bring out the colours and contrast. |
